My journey with health and healing began at birth. Throughout my childhood, I was blessed to encounter a wide variety of philosophical thinkers. They inspired me to delve more deeply and discover what was hidden within the familiar.

After working as a massage therapist for several years, I again began to look deeper, which led me to the study of Traditional East Asian Medicine. Although I started my studies in 1992, I did not finish until 2003 due to a detour to obtain a PhD in integrative theology.

Through Traditional East Asian Medicine, I finally found an existing and well-founded language to discuss the integration of the body, mind and spirit. The power of this understanding of the soma and psyche allows me to work with my patients to unfold their destiny in the most powerful and gentlest way possible.

I believe in the power, subtlety and majesty of the medicine I am trained to practice, in the transformative properties bound within this medicine and the boundless ability of the human body/mind/spirit to encompass that transformation.

Dr Dia Vickery, DACM, LAc, Dipl. O.M.(NCCAOM) draws on her background in philosophical studies and theology and merges this with her deep passion and developmental understanding of Chinese Traditional East Asian and energetic medicine.

In addition to Traditional East Asian Medicine, Dia is a trained Aroma Point Therapies practitioner, certified Face Yoga instructor and Certified Functional Medicine Practitioner. She has taught at the Masters level in her profession and continues to work in academia at the doctoral level. She is the owner and director of the Valley Wellness Institute, a wellness incubator located in Woodland Hills CA. The VWI provides economical clinic space for practitioners of a variety of modalities to enable them to establish their practice prior to renting a full office suite somewhere.
